Easter Retreats End with Deep Knowledge of the Cross and God’s Love

Retreat |

The 2019 Olivet Teen Mission International multi-day Easter retreats ended with abundant grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In North America, the retreats held in San Francisco, Riverside, and Dover meditated on the meaning of the cross. This resulted in all teen members to be encouraged to have the attitude of Jesus Christ and to carry the cross that they may experience the resurrection. They could realize the humility of the Lord who “being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death- even death of a cross!”

The retreats in Asia Pacific in the countries of Korea and Japan focused on John 18 to 20 where they could study deeply about the death of Jesus and the way the Lord suffered to bring salvation to this world.
The teens from Europe, during their retreat, received various lecture with the theme of “No Greater Love.”

In Kenya and Zambia the teens held special services on Easter Sunday where they looked at the scriptures from Romans 4:25 and the 4 Gospels, respectively. Those who delivered the message shared that, “disciples are those who hold the teachings of Christ.”

Participants memorized Bible verses daily throughout the event and had the joyful opportunity to hold activities and practice for skit performances that were held at the end of the retreats.

All the teens expressed their desire to follow the way of Christ, to humble themselves more, and to serve others. They were very joyful after meeting God deeply, having time to be with their friends, and focus on the cross only.

Most of all, as they held a time to pray together they could understand the message more and the love God has for them individually. They hope to meet again and look forward to the Pentecost retreat. May God receive all the glory and may His peace, love, and joy remain in their hearts.
